Canon 90D to Feature 4K without Crop

According to latest rumors, Canon 90D will carry 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor and record videos without any Crop in 4K modeIf the rumor is true then it’s great news, since crop factor in video mode is a big issue inside Canon DSLRs.

As you might remember a new APS-C DSLR camera with 32.5MP CMOS sensor is in testing. Canon’s rumored camera with sensor at around 32.5-megapixel refers to a high-end APS-c DSLR. The Canon EOS 90D is expected to be announced sometime around the end of August or early September 2019. It is said to replace both EOS 7D Mark II and EOS 80D.

Canon 90D Rumored Specifications:

  • 32.5mp APS-C DPAF Sensor
  • Dual DIGIC 8
  • Dual SD card slots
  • 10fps still shooting
  • ISO range of 100-51,200
  • 45 AF points (no word on the number of cross-type points)
  • 4K video at 24/25, 30 and 60fps (No Crop)
  • 3.2″ rear articulating LCD
  • Dust and moisture sealing
  • Built-in wifi and Bluetooth
  • $1399 USD price at launch
  • Coming late August 2019

In addition, Canon will also announce the new EOS M5 Mark II mirrorless camera, a new APS-C RF-mount mirrorless camera and several new RF-mount lenses in 2019.
